What Is a Full Bathroom Remodel, and Is It Right for You?
A full bathroom remodel rebuilds the entire room, not just the tub or shower. We take it down to the studs and redo the layout, plumbing, surfaces, and fixtures, so the finished space works the way you want.
- What a Full Remodel Includes
Demolition to the studs, any layout or plumbing changes, waterproofing, new walls, flooring, vanity, fixtures, and lighting. It’s the right call when the bathroom is dated throughout, the layout doesn’t work, or there’s hidden water damage to fix properly.
- Full Remodel or a Quick Update?
If your layout works and you only want the tub or shower refreshed, a faster wet-area update may fit; see One-Day Remodels. A full remodel is also a solid investment. A midrange bathroom remodel returns roughly three-quarters of its cost at resale, one of the strongest returns of any interior project, according to Remodeling’s Cost vs. Value Report. You won’t get every dollar back, but an updated bathroom also helps a home sell.
- How to Reach Us
Our Full Bathroom Remodel Process
- Design and Written Quote
We measure your bathroom, design it in 3D so you can see the layout and finishes, and set your final price in writing up front, with no change orders after demolition.
- Demolition Down to the Studs
Our in-house crew removes everything down to the framing, inspects for damage, and makes repairs before rebuilding. No subcontractors handling your home.
- Plumbing, Layout, and Rough-In
Because we hold a master plumber license, we relocate drains and supply lines, change the layout, and rough in the new plumbing ourselves. This is the work that lets us move a toilet, tub, or vanity to a better spot.
- Finishes and Final Walkthrough
We install walls, flooring, vanity, fixtures, and lighting, then review the finished bathroom with you and go over the warranty on your materials and fixtures.
What a Full Remodel Can Change
- Layout Changes and Resizing
We can move fixtures, reconfigure the floor plan, or resize the room by borrowing space from an adjacent closet or wall, so a cramped bathroom finally fits how you use it. Adding a bathroom entirely? See Bathroom Additions.
- Master, Guest, and Small Bathrooms
We remodel master and primary baths, guest bathrooms, and tight small bathrooms alike. Small spaces often benefit most from a smart layout change and the right materials.
- Materials, Fixtures, and Finishes
Choose nonporous acrylic, crushed stone, or tile walls, a custom vanity, durable flooring, and the fixtures you want. Compare wall systems on our Materials & Lifetime Warranty page.
Why Choose Us
- Licensed to Do the Whole Job
We’re a licensed general contractor (ROC 365652) and master plumber (ROC 367067), bonded and insured. Most bathroom remodelers hold neither, which limits them to the wet area. That combination is what lets us take a bathroom down to the studs, move plumbing, and change the layout legally and safely.
- In-House Crews and a Lifetime Warranty
The team that designs your bathroom is the team that builds it, with about 50 years of combined experience. Selected acrylic, crushed-stone, and fixture products carry a true lifetime warranty we service locally. This is part of our full Bathroom Remodeling services.
Full Bathroom Remodel Cost Factors & Timeline
- What Affects the Cost
The biggest drivers are how much the layout and plumbing change, the size of the room, and the materials and fixtures you choose. We measure your bathroom and give you a clear written price up front. Ask about $1,500 off your bathroom remodel and financing for qualified borrowers.
- How Long It Takes
A full remodel takes longer than a one-to-two-day wet-area update, usually a few weeks, depending on the scope and any layout or plumbing changes. We give you a realistic schedule after we measure, and keep you updated as the work moves along.
Hear It From Your Neighbors
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
How long does a full bathroom remodel take?
Usually a few weeks, not the one to two days a wet-area update takes. The timeline depends on the scope, whether we change the layout or move plumbing, and material lead times. After we measure your bathroom, we give you a realistic schedule for your project.
Do you take the bathroom down to the studs?
For a full remodel, yes. We remove everything to the framing, inspect for and repair any hidden damage, and rebuild from there. That’s how we deliver a layout change, new plumbing, and finishes that last, rather than covering up old problems.
Do you remodel small and guest bathrooms, or just master baths?
All of them. We remodel master and primary baths, guest bathrooms, and small bathrooms. Tight spaces often gain the most from a smart layout change and the right materials, and we design each one to fit the room.
Will I be able to use my bathroom during the remodel?
Not that bathroom while it’s being rebuilt. If it’s your only bathroom, we’ll plan the sequence to keep the disruption as short as possible and talk through options up front. Homes with a second bathroom usually have no issue.
Is a full bathroom remodel worth the investment?
It adds real value: a midrange bathroom remodel recoups roughly three-quarters of its cost at resale, among the strongest returns of any interior project. You won’t recoup every dollar, but you also gain a better, safer bathroom to use every day.
