What Is a One-Day Bathroom Remodel, and Is It Right for You?

A one-day bathroom remodel is a fast update to your wet area, the tub or shower, without changing the room’s layout. It’s how we replace a tired shower or tub quickly, without living around a construction zone for weeks.

We’ll be straight with you: most of these projects take one to two days once installation starts, not always a single day. The speed comes from keeping your existing layout and using prefabricated wall systems, so there’s no waiting on tile and grout to cure. If your project changes the layout or moves plumbing, it’s a full remodel and takes longer.

It’s a good fit if your tub or shower is dated, cracked, or hard to clean, and you’re happy with where everything sits. It’s also ideal if you can’t be without your bathroom for long. A quick wet-area update, sometimes called a bathroom refresh, gets you a new space with minimal disruption.

Our One-Day Remodel Process

We measure your wet area and confirm the layout stays the same, which is what makes the fast timeline possible. You’ll pick your materials and see them in a 3D design first.

On install day, our in-house crew removes the old tub or shower, inspects behind the walls, makes repairs, and waterproofs the area. No subcontractors.

We install your new wall system, base, fixtures, and any safety features. Because the panels are prefabricated to your measurements, most installs wrap in one to two days.

We review the finished bathroom with you, confirm everything drains and seals correctly, and go over the warranty on your materials and fixtures.

What We Update in One to Two Days

Swapping a tub for a low-entry shower, or refreshing a dated shower, is our most common quick project. See Tub-to-Shower Conversions and Walk-In Showers.

Replacing a cracked or yellowed tub, or an old shower, in the same footprint is a natural fast update. See Bathtub Replacement.

A refresh updates the wall surround, fixtures, and glass without a full gut, for a new look when the bones of the bathroom are fine.

Why Choose Us

Fast doesn’t mean rushed. The speed comes from same-layout work and prefabricated panels, not from cutting corners. We install Sentrel acrylic that’s about twice as thick as standard acrylic and Up Home crushed-stone panels a half-inch thick, both nonporous and grout-free. Compare them on our Materials & Lifetime Warranty page.

We’re a licensed general contractor (ROC 365652) and master plumber (ROC 367067), bonded and insured, with in-house crews and about 50 years of combined experience. Selected acrylic, crushed-stone, and fixture products carry a true lifetime warranty we service locally. This is part of our full Bathroom Remodeling services.

One-Day Remodel Cost Factors & Timeline

The main drivers are the wall material and features you choose, the size of the wet area, and what we find behind the walls. We measure your bathroom and give you a clear written price up front, with no change orders after demolition.

A project runs beyond a day or two when the layout changes, plumbing moves, or we uncover water damage behind the walls that needs repair first. We’d rather do it right than rush it. After we measure, we’ll tell you honestly what your project needs. Book a free in-home consultation for your exact written price.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

Can you really remodel a bathroom in one day?

A wet-area update where the layout stays the same can often be done in a day, and most finish within two. We’ll be honest with you: a full remodel that changes the layout or moves plumbing takes longer. After we measure, we’ll tell you exactly what your project needs.

Yes, when it’s the right scope. The speed comes from keeping your layout and using prefabricated wall panels, not from rushing. Our own crews do the work with premium nonporous materials, so a quick update holds up just as well as a longer project.

A one-day remodel updates the wet area within your existing layout. A full remodel can change the layout, move plumbing, and take the room down to the studs, which takes longer. We do both and will recommend the right one for your bathroom.

A refresh updates the visible parts of the bathroom, like the wall surround, fixtures, and glass, without a full gut. It’s a good option when the layout and plumbing are fine but the space looks dated.

No. Keeping the plumbing where it is is exactly what makes the fast timeline possible. If your project needs the drain or supply lines relocated, that’s a full remodel, and we’ll walk you through that option and its longer schedule.
